Activity 1:                       Support for Fort Hood Chaplain’s Strong Bonds Program (weekend retreats for previously deployed Soldiers and their family members)

Support Provided:         Donation to support reach more Soldiers and to help with children’s activities and transportation

Activity 3:                      Support for Soldiers and families experiencing hardship with food purchases

Support Provided:         Donation of funds to the Killeen Food Care Center to help provide food to service members

Activity 4:                     Support for the redeployment of 4th Sustainment Brigade

Support Provided:        Donation 300 snacks and 9 cases of water to serve 110 soldiers and 60 family members

Support Provided:        Donation 150 snacks, bananas, and lemonade for 75 soldiers and family members

Activity 6:                     Easter Party for 4th Sustainment Brigade

Support Provided:        Staff cooked 560 hotdogs, and provided buns, charcoal, and moonwalk jumper for 600+ soldiers and family members

 Activity 7:                    Easter Party for 2-5 Cav Bn, 1st Cav Div

Support Provided:        Staff cooked 160 hotdogs and provided buns, chips and cookies, charcoal, water, and a moonwalk jumper for 65 soldiers and family members

Activity 8:                     Support for Soldiers and families experiencing hardship with food purchases

Support Provided:        Purchased 100 $50 gift cards from the Fort Hood Commissary; Soldiers experiencing financial difficulties, as verified by their Command Financial Specialist, can receive a $50 gift card to purchase food from the Commissary.

Activity 9:                    Support for 1,184 Soldiers and the family members that came out to see them deploy to Afghanistan.

Support Provided:        We cooked and wrapped 950 sausages, 320 hotdogs, and provided chips, cookies, donuts, bottled water, and staff to work this function.

Activity 10:                  Support for 2012 TAPS Conference

Support Provided:       We Cooked 200 pounds of brisket and provided potato salad, beans, macaroni and cheese, and condiments for 400+ attendees, and staff and volunteer work hours

Activity 11:                  Support for100 soldiers and 35 family members of the 2-5 Cav Rear Detachment

Support Provided:      Grill donated for Unit Event

Activity 12:                Support for Fort Hood Chaplains Training Event

Support Provided:     Grill donated for Event

Activity 13:                Support for 2-5 Cav’s Annual Battalion Ball – 800 soldiers and family members

Support Provided:     3 buses and drivers to shuttle passengers to and from the event.

Where:                            Mayborn Convention Center in Temple, TX

Cost:                                 $2,000 for bus rentals and driver expenses

 

Activity 14:                 Support for Post Wide October Fest on Fort Hood for between 5,000 and 10,000 people

Support Provided:       Usage of BBQ Grill, hand washing station, sodas/water/buns, sauerkraut, and mustard

Activity 15:                 Support for 4th Sustainment Brigade soldiers and family members

Support Provided:      1,600 hotdogs and 1,024 chips for 1,500 soldiers and 700 family members

Activity 16:                Support for 3rd Cavalry Regiment Fall Festival at Ted Smith’s Ranch

Support Provided:      800 hotdogs, 800 hamburgers, Staff time, popcorn machine, bouncy house

When:                              October 27, 2012

Where:                            Ted Smith’s Ranch in Oakalla, Texas

Cost:                                $2,238 for Staff Volunteer time, food, popcorn machine and bouncy house usage

 

Activity 17:                    Donation of Food Baskets

Support Provided:         Provided 95 Thanksgiving Food Baskets to 70 military families and 25 veterans

When:                                 November 18-19, 2012

Where:                              Fort Hood and Central Texas area.

Cost:                                  $2,850

 

Activity 18:                  Support for Military Families to attend the Annual Festival of Trees

Support Provided:       Donation of 11 tables for seating of 8 people per table

When:                                December 7, 2012

Where:                              Killeen Civic and Conference Center

Cost:                                 $6,050

 

Activity 19:                Operation Ride Home

Support Provided:      Travel Assistance for 90 soldiers and their families to either fly or drive home for the Christmas holidays

Activity 20:                 Hosted Christmas Party for 600 soldiers and family members of 2-5 Cav

Support Provided:       Space for the party and toy baskets for 200 children

Where:                              Family Center in Copperas Cove, Texas

Estimated Cost:            $1,810 for toys and Staff Time

 

Activity 21:                  Armed Forces Bowl Football Game

Support Provided:       Transport of 200 soldiers and family members to the Armed Forces Bowl Football Game in Ft. Worth, Texas

Where:                              Fort Hood, Texas

Estimated Cost:            $450 for Staff Time
